Michael (Mick) Levin has experience across several areas of practice including corporate and commercial law, civil litigation, environmental law, personal injury, and estate planning. Mick especially enjoys working with entrepreneurs to plan for success by providing review and drafting of business documents including shareholder agreements, employment and vendor contracts, agreements of purchase and sale, intellectual property assignments, and leases. With a background in economics and an MBA, Mick provides prudent advice in plain language on matters of corporate structure, asset management, contractual obligations, risk mitigation, and more. By delving into the underlying needs of each client and applying innovative problem solving and strong advocacy skills, Mick works to resolve clients’ legal issues effectively and efficiently.
Beyond the office, Mick is passionate about travel and outdoor recreation. He has hiked, biked, paddled, and climbed in dozens of countries and has served on the executive of the non-profit Climb Nova Scotia Association since 2008. From time to time he also works as an expedition guide in the Canadian Arctic, piloting watercraft, leading hikes in polar bear country, and sharing his knowledge of environmental law and policy.
